IPC-HFW5842T-ASE-S2 เป็นกล้องวงจรปิดจาก Dahua ซีรีส์ WizMind ที่มาพร้อมกับความละเอียด 8MP โดยใช้เซ็นเซอร์ CMOS ขนาด 1/1.8 นิ้ว ซึ่งช่วยให้ภาพมีความคมชัดสูงแม้ในที่แสงน้อย กล้องรุ่นนี้สามารถบันทึกภาพที่ความละเอียดสูงสุด 3840×2160 พิกเซลที่ 30 fps และมาพร้อมกับระยะ IR ที่สามารถใช้งานได้ไกลถึง 50 เมตร ซึ่งเหมาะสำหรับการใช้งานในช่วงเวลากลางคืน นอกจากนี้ยังรองรับฟังก์ชัน SMART H.264+/H.265+ ซึ่งช่วยลดการใช้แบนด์วิธและพื้นที่เก็บข้อมูล และฟังก์ชัน AI H.264/H.265 ที่ทำให้การบีบอัดข้อมูลมีความยืดหยุ่นสูงในหลายๆ สภาพแวดล้อม กล้องนี้ยังรองรับฟังก์ชันหมุนภาพ, WDR, 3D NR, HLC, BLC และการทำลายน้ำดิจิทัล ซึ่งทำให้เหมาะสมกับหลายสถานการณ์การตรวจสอบ ฟังก์ชันการเชื่อมต่อ PoE และ 12 VDC ทำให้การจ่ายพลังงานเป็นเรื่องสะดวก อีกทั้งยังรองรับการบันทึกข้อมูลด้วย MicroSD สูงสุด 256 GB
